BIO:

Michael is a native of Roane County, an Eagle Scout from Troop 101, and a graduate of Roane County High. In 2018, he graduated from Tennessee Technological University with his Bachelor of Science in Economics. While in undergrad, Michael was active in several student organizations, including student government and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

 

Michael attended law school at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law in Knoxville. While at LMU, Michael was the Articles Editor of the LMU Law Review. He also served as a peer leader and his writings were published twice. Michael graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2022.

Michael was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2023.

Before joining Griffin Law Group in 2025, Michael Stooksbury interned for Griffin & Davis, externed for Legal Aid of East Tennessee, and rose from intern to attorney at Davis Law Firm in Kingston.

​

In his free time, Michael enjoys fly fishing, playing guitar, and getting lost on two lane highways with his wife, Emily, and their dogs, Toby and Theo.
